POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

Participants in the Marketing Operations Analyst program will learn and apply a broad range of business, marketing, and technical skills to solve dynamic marketing challenges.  This program has been created to provide talented and ambitious candidates the skills and experience to enter the field of marketing operations consulting and customer relationship management (CRM), and develop them into trusted advisors to marketing and technology executives at major corporations.  

 

Program Details:

 

The program consists of a structured 6 month training period, covering business practices and methodologies from multiple disciplines ranging from strategic to operational.  During the program, participants will sharpen their understanding of:

  • General consulting principles
  • Database engineering and development standards
  • Marketing automation tools, specifically campaign management and planning
  • Business Intelligence (BI) reporting
  • Marketing and statistical analysis, and translating these into customer insights
  • Segmentation and measurement
  • Requirements gathering and project management
  • Infrastructure technology primer
  • Corporate tools and policies 

This structured training program will prepare successful candidates to accept a consulting position in any area within Quaero, a CSG Solution, and be able to serve our clients in different roles that require well rounded functional expertise.  

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Through active involvement in a structured orientation program, become oriented to and support client projects.
  • Support campaign automation clients with campaign design, optimization, execution, list pulls, data research and monitor scheduled campaigns.
  • Support reporting clients with Business Intelligence strategy, reporting platform implementation, report development, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Support marketing database clients by performing a wide variety of consulting related tasks including planning, design, development, quality assurance testing, and project administration.
  • Support marketing roadmap engagements, marketing analytics, and business analysis processes.
  • Work alongside other teams to troubleshoot and determine root cause of technical and process related issues.
  • The initial 3 months of the program will be conducted with the Operations team in Charlotte, NC.  Training assignments in practice areas, and final assignment upon program completion, will result in 85%-100% travel. 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’ degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Marketing
  • 1-3 years in a marketing department, IT services group, business process consulting group, or similar business environment, as one or more of the following (recent graduates with exceptional academic backgrounds and exceptional motivation and aptitude for this program and line of work will also be considered):
    • Business or technical analyst in a consulting or marketing organization
    • Marketing Program Coordinator
    • Marketing Campaign Analyst
    • Business Analyst
    • Report Developer
    • IT Analyst using SQL and / or HTML
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering business presentations.
  • The ability to work directly and effectively with fellow team members and clients.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize & work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding business environment, ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office or similar productivity tools. 

Desired:

  • An ability to understand business requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Experience using campaign management or other marketing automation or CRM applications
  • Ability to analyze existing campaign execution infrastructure and make improvement recommendations.
  • Experience working with SQL server 2000/2005 or other database platform(s).
  • Working knowledge of data entity relationships and data structures.
