Analytic Consultant
Role Overview
In the role of Analytic Consultant, you will apply your hands on data analysis and business acumen to help our clients gain clearer insights into their customer base which will be used to enhance marketing performance.
You will utilize client data that is multichannel (web, email, direct mail and call center) in origin and application. This exciting work will be integrated with overall CRM and data-driven marketing solutions for our clients. You will work and grow with strong marketing strategy and marketing technology consultants.
We need strong Analysts, for this demanding role, who can not only perform hands-on analysis but who can also interpret the data and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences. Candidates must have 3+ years of data analysis experience in a database marketing environment. You will use your hands-on analytic skills along with your current and cultivated overall database marketing skills to accelerate our client’s marketing performance.
This position requires both hands-on analytic skills as well as a well rounded marketing background. Quaero is a boutique marketing consulting company and as such we expect our analytic consultants to be willing to build on their core skills (analytics) as well as their overall DBM capabilities as analytics is only one dimension in the overall marketing process.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Excited about taking a lead Analyst role
- At least 3 years of SAS experience (Base SAS and SAS Stat at a minimum)
- Experience (2+ years) working with relational databases and SQL is required
- Experienced in designing, building and validating statistical models and segmentation systems which have delivered tangible and significant business value
- Experienced in all available marketing analytic techniques including regression, logistic regression, Principle Components & clustering.
- Willingness to contribute in non-analytic engagements at times including marketing database development, marketing roadmaps, MRM and marketing automation client work.
- Comfortable participating in business discussions and effective in communicating the business implications of marketing analytics
- A strong sense of ownership and sense of urgency: Able to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
- Able to work within and communicate with internal and client teams
- Able to package the analyses in a consistent and business related manner using PowerPoint
- Experience presenting the results to business audiences
- Looking for an opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth of Quaero’s customer intelligence and analytics offerings and methodologies
- Experience with R is a plus

Educational Requirements:
Master’s degree in a relevant field (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Marketing Analytics) required. Work locations available include Denver, Charlotte and Boston. Position requires willingness to complete 50% travel.
